Travel Awards Available to Attend TFRI's
2ND Annual Scientific Meeting in Vancouver, BC, May 13-15, 2010
Are you a graduate student, postdoctoral trainee or clinical research fellow on a Terry Fox-funded project?
The Terry Fox Research Institute invites you to apply to attend the 2nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Terry Fox Research Institute to be held in Vancouver on Thursday, May 13 to Saturday May 15, 2010.
The meeting will have plenary sessions on: personalized medicine, selective therapies, biomarkers and the tumour microenvironment highlighting work by groups funded by the Terry Fox Foundation and the Terry Fox Research Institute. Meeting information and a preliminary program are available here.
The Terry Fox Research Institute is offering 60 travel awards for eligible Terry Fox-funded Research Trainees based on acceptance of your abstract for a poster presentation at the meeting. Since there is a limit of 200 participants at this meeting, we encourage you to submit your poster abstract and apply early to attend this meeting at conference@tfri.ca. The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2010.
If you are registered to attend the meeting, the Terry Fox Research Institute will pay for a shared conference hotel room for two nights, and will offer one of the travel awards1 to up to 60 trainees.
